Thumb: #1 Pale gray (2 coats)
Middle finger: #2 Light gray (2 coats)
Pinky: #3 Dark chocolate (2 coats)
Index finger and ring finger: Paint 2 coats of #1 Pale gray as the base colour, then paint 1 coat of #2 Light gray on the upper half of the nail, finally paint 1 coat of #3 Dark chocolate on the tip of the nail (gradient)

I simply created the gradient effect by painting with the nail polish brush, you may use a makeup sponge for a better gradient effect.

Polish: #64

#64 has lilac hexagon glitter of all sizes (mega, big, and medium) in a clear base.

I bought this at Bonjour, and it was about 1.20USD. I wasn't expecting much from such a cheap nail polish, but it turned out to be gorgeous! Look at the lovely lilac glitter!
Yet, the polish is rather thick, and it took forever to dry...

The photos below were taken with 2 coats of polish applied with the dabbing method.

[pa] AA34

Brand: pa
Collection: Preimier Lame Grande
Polish: AA34

AA34 is a glitter polish with small silver glitter and large light pink hexagon glitter in a clear base.

Look at the cute packaging! I love Japanese makeup for their superb quality and cute packaging for even drugstore brands. Yes, pa is a drugstore brand. Their nail polish is retailed at 380 yen in Japan.

The polish is rather thick, but it is not hard to work with. The photos below show 2 coats of AA34 worn on its own, applied by the dabbing method. 2 coats are enough for it to be opaque.

[Revlon] Calcium Gel Nail Hardener

Brand: Revlon
Collection: nail care
Polish: 975 8689-95 Calcium Gel Nail Hardener

I have been wearing nail polish non-stop lately, and I have noticed some splits, so I have decided to try Revlon's Calcium Gel Nail Hardener.

The following text in italics is what Revlon say about their Calcium Gel Nail Hardener:

Get 60% thicker nails in just 4 days. Instantly bonds to weak, thin nails making them thicker and stronger.
•Calcium-enriched formula repairs cracked, split and peeling nails
•Helps make nails feel stronger and flexible
•DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde Free

EXPERT TIPS:

• Apply one coat over bare nails. For best results, apply daily.
• Can also be used as a base coat.

Revlon's Calcium Gel Nail Hardener is a milky white polish that applies clear on the nails.

I also apply the nail hardener on the undersides of my nails where there are splits. The polish miraculously seal the split and glue them back together!

day 1 (1 coat)

day 5 (5 coats)

After 4 days, my nails are obviously a lot stronger. The gel-like finish is lovely as well, and I have been asked if I am wearing press on nails or gel nails.

It works well as a base coat as well, but its dry time is rather long. For a thin coat, I waited for about 15 minutes for it to dry; and almost 30 minutes for a thick coat. Furthermore, I would recommend applying it in thin coats, since there might be bubbles when you apply it in thick coats.

The Calcium Gel Nail Hardener can be easily removed with nail polish remover. After taking it off, my nails still feel stronger than before. I would totally recommend this strengthener to anyone who wants a budget nail hardener.

[Revlon] Galaxy

polish: Galaxy

Galaxy is a glitter topcoat with small black glitter, small silver multi-chrome glitter, and big silver multi-chrome heaxgon glitter in a clear base.

Galaxy is supposed to be a glitter topcoat, but I think it is very beautiful when worn on its own.

The photos below show 1 coat of Galaxy (applied with the dabbing method since it's a glitter polish) worn on its own (no base colour).

[chic chic] 37

brand: chic chic
collection: none (I assume...)
nail polish: 37

37 is a clear base nail polish with lilac duochrome shimmer that changes colour to light pink and sky blue.

37 is simply a super cheap nail polish that I purchased at Bonjour. It is only numbered 37, it doesn't even have a name.

37 reminds me so much of SkinFood's Nail Vita Crystal Pearl Top Coat. But 37's shimmer is so much denser than Crystal Pearl Top coat's; therefore, I like 37 so much better.

The following photos show 37 worn on its own (no base colour, no top coat).

[Revlon] Whimsical

Brand: Revlon
Collection: 2012 Spring (I assume...)
Polish: 430 Whimsical

with camera flash

Whimsical is the Revlon nail polish that everyone is craving because it is well-known as the Deborah Lippmann's "Glitter in the Air" dupe. It seems that Revlon make a lot of nail polish dupes lately, like Deborah Lippmann dupes and Chanel dupes.

Whimsical is a glitter polish with medium pink hexagon glitter, medium light blue hexagon glitter, small silver glitter, and fine duochrome glitter in a baby blue creme base that is quite sheer.

The pastel baby blue colour is lovely, and I am happy with the sheerness. I think opacity can be achieved with 3-4 coats.

The glitter in Whimsical is not very dense. Therefore, I had to be extra careful when I applied the nail polish/placed the glitter as I want more glitter on my nail.

The photos below show 2 coats of Whimsical worn on its own (no base nail colour), with top coat.

[essie] shine of the times

brand: essie
collection: 2011 holiday collection Luxeffects
polish: H000 shine of the times

no flash

with camera flash

Shine of the times is a polish with loads of flakes in a clear base. The flakes appear blue, green, yellow, or pink depending on the lighting and the angle you look at it.
Many say that shine of the times is for layering over another polish, I agree with that, but I also think it is very beautiful on its own.
All the photos below show 1 coat of shine of the times.

(Please click to enlarge the photos in order to get a better view of the beautiful polish!)
